  • Establish a ritual at night. Turn the lights down, have a hot bath, have a light snack, get into your PJ’s at a particular time. All of these things help to establish a “pre-sleep” habit with your brain.
  • Wake up at the same time every day. Make it earlier, rather than later (say, 7am). Wake up at this same time on weekends too!

Now it’s important to note that these need to become habits, not “I’ll try it for one night and if it doesn’t work I’ll toss it”. You may need to try several in combination.
