In recent years it came to light that most plastic bottles are not safe water bottles; a stainless steel water bottle is a safer choice. Water bottles that athletes use are also unsafe water bottles. These bottles are constructed from polycarbonate; which is also the plastic used to make most baby bottles. Over time, these bottles leach BPA which is a synthetic hormone.
Stainless steel water bottles offer the best solution to the issue of safety. Water bottles offered on the market today are increasing be made from stainless steel. Stainless steel, unlike plastic, does not leach any poisons and ensures a “carcinogen free” container. Though aluminum is another alternative that does not leach PET, it does require that the manufacturer use a protective lining.
