How To Find Hemorrhoid Relief In Your Home

The intense pain, discomfort, or irritation from hemorrhoid can be too much to handle sometimes. What should you do if you find it happening in the middle of the night or on weekends when there is no doctor to run to? Obviously, you can go to the emergency room of a hospital and get a doctor check on your internal hemorrhoids symptoms, but you will look a little ridiculous if it’s only for a non-bleeding one. Instead, why not try some home hemorrhoid relief with simple, easy to find home items. Try these:

1.    Get some ice cubes, wrap them in a ziplock bag or a piece of cloth, and sit on it. If you can take sitting on a basin of ice, then go ahead. This will work as well, but it will also freeze your rear end quickly, and if the weather is cold, you might end up with chattering teeth and a super red butt.
2.    You can also try a hot compress, but mind you, the word hot does not mean scalding. Remember, hemorrhoids included swollen or inflamed skin, and this means it is sensitive to a lot of things. Applying hot water can burn your skin, so keep it warm.
3.    If you have petroleum jelly, apply some to your affected area. Hemorrhoid relief can be had because petroleum jelly will soothe the skin and lubricate the dry areas. If you have a baby using diapers in, you can also use the ointment for diaper rash, and it will work just as fine on your dry and abused skin.
4.     Try the sitz bath which is similar to the warm compress except you sit on a tub of warm water. You can add baking soda or sea salt to the water because these can be a great source of hemorrhoid relief. You don’t have to sit long, just about 5 to 10 minutes. Be sure to disinfect the tub as soon as you’re done so that any bacteria that was released is properly disposed of.

You cannot overemphasized the importance of knowing how to treat internal hemorrhoids (as well as external ones) through these easy remedies you can find at home.
