Exercising does not mean running every for miles and miles. In fact running isn’t something that everyone can do. Resistance training or weight training is actually much better for you. Where as running actually burns muscle, weight training builds muscle. For women worrying about gain too much muscle, it is not really a problem. Studies show that women do not really gain muscle training with weights. The muscles just shape and tone up. Running burns calories while you run, but when your feet stop moving the calories stop burning, where as with resistance training you will burn calories for hours after finishing your training session. So you get more bang for your buck.
